Wood Burning and Paint
I began this journey just a short time ago and started asking myself why there were so many people that say my wood burnings don’t match their style. Would I want a dog portrait on my wall? Would I want a word sign on the wall when there are so many choose from at the store?
That is when it hit me!
Flowers bring such joy to any home. Their color, their smell and simply the thought of someone buying them, makes flowers something for anyone. So, I bought you flowers, in a way, by creating an entire series called “Abloom Collection.”
This “Abloom Collection” series features 15 pieces of wood burned and painted art.
You will see the various types of florist’s styles and textures throughout each piece. The one part of this collection that makes it stand apart from anything you have seen is because it holds the indention of the burn, and the golden shine of the flowers.
It reminded me of the 1 Peter 1:7, “so that the genuineness of your faith–more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire–may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
I want you to look at this series as a complete result of having faith in Jesus and how much glory He deserves.
I chose the name “abloom” because it means “covered in flowers.” My pieces have always been what everyone else wanted them to be, and now they are covered in flowers. I would love to work with local florists and feature their work by recreating their bouquets with my artwork.
I am having a pre-sale of the pyrography with paint pieces, 5 days before the collection is made available to the public.
That means that my email subscribers get first dibs on this collection! I am so excited to share the inside scoop with those closest to me!
Everyone will have access to the artwork on June 30th at 10 a.m. EST
I can’t wait to see who snatches it up! Thank you for your support and taking this journey with me.
